In-Residence positions synergise.
By nature and design, they generate unexpected possibilities-often
by unlikely juxtapositions of interest, expertise, enthusiasm,
experience, and productivity. For this reason, In-Residence
faculty are dedicated to their distinctive work; available;
and relatively free-floating. Their job is to stimulate,
inspire, listen, create, confer, collaborate, and
communicate.
It is their job as well to be inspired
by, to learn from, and to deeply respect the communities in
which they are privileged to reside. Wherever there is room
to discover, opportunity to revise,
excitement to create, desire to
improve, or challenge
to transcend; wherever there is surprise, delight,
interrogation, innovation,
humour and wisdom,
there a Philosopher-in-Residence
finds good work and food for thought.
